Sheesh it's been a while!

I'm sure getting bad at updating this blog. Sorry!
Well, a whole lot has happened since we went to WaterWorld! Tyler and I are back in Utah now. It's nice to be home, but we sure miss Colorado. We're currently living at my parents house in North Orem until our apartment frees up hopefully before Sept. 8th. We'll be moving close to UVU in a fourplex apartment. We got a killer deal on 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It will be so nice to move in and not be living in suitcases anymore! We're also excited to be able to get all our stuff out of storage and decorate our place a little. :)
Tyler's birthday party was Sunday. We had grandma and grandpa Jensen and Jenny and Bruce over for dinner and desert. Tyler got some fun cards and gifts from everyone. And then we had Tyler's favorite birthday cake. ha, this was pretty fun for me. Tyler has had it for every birthday, but somehow I've missed it. So I began my mission of baking a 4-layered chocolate cake with a chocolate whipped middle layer frosting and chocolate glaze that goes on top and drizzles down the sides. It was the first birthday cake I would make for my husband so it had to be perfect! ha, well it turned out delicious and HUGE!! haha, I had to use double the cake mix because my first to layers were just too thin. What you are supposed to do is make two layers and then slice them horizontally to make four layers. Well, mine were too small so I just made four layers without slicing them. Needless to say, it was a very very very tall cake, but ended up fabulous anyways. The guys all looked at it with anxious eyes and the girls all looked a bit frightened. haha! Well, we served it with chocolate chip mint ice cream, and yes, I'm sure we all gained a few pounds, but it was good.
School started Wednesday. Tyler is taking 12 credits and studying Public Communications. I'm just beginning the Elementary Education program and taking 14 credits. I finished all the prerequisites and can now get into the real stuff. I'm going to be spending three weeks this semester in an Elementary School teaching lessons and getting a taste of being a teacher. I'm excited, but it's a real intense program. I already have projects, papers, lessons to create, and lots and lots of reading to do. But because of this program I will be better prepared for my students and that's what matters.
Tyler is gone for the Labor Day weekend to California to sell dish for his uncle at the State Fair. He sales Comcast for Stampede during the week, and starting now at least one weekend a month Tyler will be selling dish for his uncle's company (Funny I know).Tyler is planning to start a summer sales company with his uncle and good friend Garrett Brown. So that's real exciting! Tyler has always wanted to start his own business. He hates working for "the man" he would rather be "the man".
As for me, I just got a job working as a contractor with Custom Designs selling carpeting, windows, and blinds at a kiosk in the Orem Costco. Yes, some reason we like sales in our family. It has a good base pay and then great commission, so if anyone is interested in getting an appointment with a decorator please let me know!!! I get paid for appointments and then more if it goes into a sale. I'll be the only one working at this store so I get to create my own hours, which is fabulous for my crazy school schedule. We'll see how it goes. :)
Well, that's about all for now. We'll post pictures of our new place once we get in!

Hi Kara & Tyler!

We sure miss you guys. That's a bummer you didn't get into your apartment quick and have to live in suitcases. It is sure nice that we were able to bring all our stuff here to Denver to make it seem a little more like home. Well we hope I guess by this time you might be getting settled into your new sweet deal 3bed 2bath apt. Hope all goes well. Anyway we can't wait to see you guys on the cruise. However, we were wondering if you guys were driving to get there because we would like to car pool with you guys if that is ok. Our car broke down twice; some belt that make the car run came off and then the brakes were almost dead. So we don't trust traveling in our car right now. If you could call us and tell us your plans at L#801-897-1336 or A#801-897-4449 that would be awesome.

See you soon- Lyndi, Andy, Ainsley
