Fourth of July Weekend!!!

We had so much fun for the fourth. We took Friday and Saturday off with Craig and Emily. First we ate a fabulous breakfast over at Craig and Emily's. We had eggs, bacon, waffles, and hash browns. YUM!! We helped with the cooking and Tyler used Emily's fancy apron she made. :)
Then after a fabulous breakfast, we packed up the Audi and headed to Denver. We spent the day at Elitch Gardens!

All of a sudden it started to rain like crazy!! So we had to take off for a little while and it was the heaviest rain I have ever seen!! The roads were turning into rivers in several spots and it also began to hail!!! But we escaped to Subway and then went back to Elitch to find half as long lines! YES!!

After Elitch Gardens we were super tired so we went and stayed in a fancy hotel! :) Ty's so good at finding good deals for super nice hotels! We end up spending less to go there than we would if we went to a motel 6!

This bed was wonderful!!!!!

The next day we woke up early and went to Golden Corral for their breakfast buffet. It was pretty yummy. Then we decided to go bowling!!! Craig wasted all our trash! But after a couple games Ty and I came in to the lead and ended up with a tied score!

After bowling we went to the mall and found the wonderful Brookestone store. We sat in those massage chairs for probably a good 45 minutes. :) It was soooooo nice! :)

After that our relaxing visit at Brookestone we went to the sunglass store where tyler was told that there is an Oakley store inside another mall not to far away. For those who don't know, Tyler LOVES Oakley shades and apparel. So we had to go! We got there a half hour before they closed and Tyler was in heaven!!! It was so funny! He was like a little boy in a candy store. We found some great deals and got him a zip up hoodie, and two t-shirts! He was so happy! I got to go shopping as well and got couple pairs of shorts and shirts on sale at Aeropostale.

Then we headed off to watch the air force band perform at a park and find a spot to watch some promisingly impressive fireworks. We asked a few of the fire fighters where the best spot to watch the fireworks would be and they told us right there on the lawn where the band was playing. They said they'd be pretty much on top of us! YES!!!!! We were so excited....well, they LIED!!!!!!!!!!!! The fireworks were like five miles away!!! Once they started everyone took off running to get closer to them. Tyler and I were able to get to a spot that was a lot closer, they still weren't "on top of us", but it was a lot better than where we were before. hah, either those fire fighters don't know what close means, or they were just trying to keep as many people far from the fireworks as possible. It ended up being a great show and one of the best finales I've seen.

After that we used a couple coupons a man was handing out and got some discounted ice cream from Cold Stone. YUM!!! We got Cake Batter ice cream with Raspberries mixed in! Delicious! After that we played some football in a parking lot while we waited for the traffic to go away and then headed home.

What a fun fourth!!! :) We love America!

Tennessee Barrotts

Yup, that's what we call em. Tyler has a ton of Aunts and Uncles on the Barrott side, so these cousins are the Tennessee Barrotts, because, yes, they live in Tennessee. It was so much fun having them over! We had a full house two Sundays ago, when Taft's (Ty's cousin/one of our techs)family came to visit. We had their family, Craig Emily and Hyrum (our friends out here, Craig sells with Tyler), Sean the regional manager, and another one of our techs A.J. We made brownies with cookie dough chunks, and served them with ice cream, hot fudge, and caramel. We talked, ate, and played the Wii all evening long! It was so much fun having them over!!! And yes, we got a WII!!!! I'm so excited. We pretty much got the Wii for free. Yes, that's right, FREE!!!! Tyler found a website called Zoozle.com and well, they auction stuff off and Tyler found it right as it started and we got a few bids and got a lap top for 11 CENTS!!!! yup, a dime and penny. Then we paid 20$ for shipping and it was ours. It was a mini so we sold it for $350 and went and bought a Wii. :) Here are pictures of all the fun we had. :)

Long Hair, Weekend Getaway

I'm a horrible blogging-slacker lately. I'm not even going to talk about the 4th of July yet because I'm awaiting pictures from our awesome friends that spend the weekend with us. But, I'm still going to have lots to blog about. :)

Well, work has been busy busy busy!!! Even on my day off I get phone calls almost constantly, and I have nightmares of missing UPS and FedEx shipments and getting angry customer phone calls. Yup, work has taken over my life! hah, luckily we are taking Fall semester off. I just could not work this hard knowing I'd be going straight into my last year of school and student teaching, (and the dreaded Praxis!!). So that's a relief and keeps me going, as well as having the best husband in the world!!! I could not make it without his love, support, and the joy he brings to my life! Anyways, I'll stop being cheesie! I just really love my sweetheart! :) Thank goodness I married the right guy!!!! :D

Okay, okay, I'm done. So first set of pictures... You see I for some reason am too lazy/scared/scared of spending money to go and get my hair cut. Hah, so it's getting pretty long. I had Tyler take a picture of it so I could show you (Yes, I have more exciting things on the way to blog about than my hair).

It's pretty fun, but I don't know what all to do with it. ha. Okay, so we have two pet birds. Well, not really.... So a few days after we moved here we were woken up at 6am by two obnoxious birds squawking angerly at each other. We were like, "What the ????" They'd fight on and off for about an hour. Then they did it the next day, and the next. I looked out on our deck and they were just chillin and flying all around our balcony. Well, they continued to fight every morning for a couple weeks. Then one day I found this...

They had finally decided where to put their home. Since then they have been a lot nicer to each other and have only had marital problems a couple times a week. haha, I think it's pretty funny, but Tyler some mornings actually contemplates the idea of taking down the nest (but he would never actually do it). So these are our bird friends that live on our balcony and wake us up early in the morning after working late. They are beautiful birds, I'll try and get a picture where you can see the pretty colors on their chests. But this is all I have for now.

So a few weekends ago Tyler and I drove up to Denver for a mini vacation. We started the night off right by going to P.F. Changs in downtown Denver and then to Dave and Busters where Tyler played the Trivia game and won another stuffed Homer Simpson. :) Tyler LOVES Dave and Busters!!! It's pretty much an adult version of Chuck e Cheese. There's something about tickets, games, winning, and Simpson's characters that puts Tyler on cloud 9! It's so funny! Of course we forgot to take pictures until we got back in the car about to leave. So this is the building. :)

Next we went a stayed in the Double Tree Hotel. It's owned by Hilton and it was super nice!!! :)

The next day we found a super awesome park and played Frisbee and a little in the water...

And then we got ice cream cones...

What a nice getaway!!! :) Stay tuned, more blogging to come...
