Kara's Birthday!

Yay! I'm 20! Gosh, I'm getting old! Well, I'm finally writing about my totally awesome birthday! Tyler woke me up and off we went to The Waffle House for some yummy waffles, egg-muffin, and biscuits and gravy. That was very yummy! Then Tyler got ready for work and I was invited to the meeting. They all ended up singing Happy Birthday to me while making me stand on a chair. Then everyone devoured donuts:D.
Tyler then headed off to work. I was home alone being tormented by three presents that were wrapped and sitting temptingly on the kitchen table. However, I kept my promise and stayed away.
I was expecting Tyler to be home around 9 or 9:30pm, the usual, but he ended up coming home at about 5:30!! He had done so well he was able to convince his manager to let him off so he could cook me dinner! We had the most delicious BBQ salmon, with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and biscuits! mmm-mmmm!!! :D
While cooking dinner one of the other wives here stopped by to drop off a present as well! :D Finally after dinner Tyler let me open them.

I got a super cute yellow short sleeve jacket from Heidi and Tyler got me: Brita water filter jug, a cool picture frame for a honeymoon picture, and a cute shirt. :D I have the best husband EVER!!! Then my parents sent a muchly needed vacuum cleaner!!! YAY!!!! Funny the things you want when you are married.:D They also sent us the Planet Earth DVDs! I got spoiled this year!!
Then around 9:30 Garrett and Brad came over for some banana cream pie and chocolate chip oatmeal ice cream. :D It was a happy birthday indeed. :D Thanks everybody who called, texted, e-mailed, and facebooked:D. ha.

A few More. :D

A few pictures on our condo:D

Alright here are some pictures of our condo here in Denver. :D

Honeymoon, moving, driving, Life in Colorado!

We're married!!! YAY!!! Well, I guess first I'll start off with the Honeymoon. :D We spent the first night at a very cute bed and breakfast called Hines Mansion in Provo. Then we were very sneaky when we snuck into my parents house to pick up a few last minute items for the trip. My mom was home so we hid downstairs till she left for work. We were quite proud of ourselves that we hadn't been seen and began our drive to the airport. We had planned everything perfect so we wouldn't see a familiar face until we got back from our trip...
So as we are driving along on the freeway, as luck would have it, Tyler's Aunt and Uncle drive past us honking and waving! haha, it was pretty funny. What were the chances?!?!
Once we got to the airport and through all the security we were on our way! The plane took off about 4 minutes after we sat down!!! It was so fast! We got to Portland 15 minutes early and
picked up our shiny red rental car.
We started off going the wrong way and continued making detours all the way to Tillamok County where we toured the cheese factory and ate amazing ice cream. Finally, we made it to our beachfront condo in Lincoln City! It was perfect! There was a gas fireplace, full kitchen, and a deck hanging over the beach with a personal hot tub. :D
During our stay we did all sorts of fun activities. We played frisbee on the beach, which was rather difficult because of the wind, and the frisbee acted more like a boomerang than anything else. We went on an insane hike where not many people have gone. We got real close to some sleeping sea lions! But they spotted us and quickly were back into the ocean. We went to eat at restaurants with amazing views! Toured the coast and all the little shops. We went whale watching. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales, but it was still a blast! There were HUGE waves and the boat would go up and then crashing down.
Needless to say, we were soaking wet by the time we got back. :D
We also went to Newport's Aquarium. We were inches away from hungry sharks, jellyfish, and giant crabs!!!
The last night we spent in Lincoln City we were fortunate enough to enjoy dinner at our condo with a beautiful sunset over the ocean! Every night before it was too cloudy at night to see the sunset. We made margaritas and toasted to a wonderful marriage! It was the perfect way to end our honeymoon.
The next morning we packed up and cleaned real fast and headed to the airport. It was sure hard to leave!
We arrived in Salt Lake in the early afternoon and drove to my parents house. There we went to town unwrapping presents, writing who they were from, sorting what we'd take back, what we'd take to Denver, and what we'd leave there.
We got our car all loaded with our stuff, and went to bed very exhausted.
The next morning we began our 8 hour drive to Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The drive was a bit boring for a while, but then the mountains just got more and more beautiful! We got to our Condo just in time to get our key before the office closed and began moving in! Unpacking and cleaning was about a four day job!!
We've been here for just over a week now and are really enjoying life here in Denver. The people here are really nice, and all the guys(and girl) Tyler works with are a lot of fun.
Well, I think I've caught you up well enough for now. I haven't gotten the wedding pictures yet so I'll have to post them later, but here are a few pictures from the last two weeks. :D Enjoy!
