TWILIGHT!!!

So Tyler surprised me with two tickets to the midnight showing of Twilight. I've read all the books and have been anxiously awaiting the movie. So Thursday night we left to the movie theater at 9:30pm. Luckily we didn't have to wait on the floor for two and a half hours like a lot of people. Our theater was open so they let us go in and sit in the nice recliner seats. :) We got perfect seats and preoccupied ourselves by having Tetris tournaments on my cell phone. :) Tyler felt a bit out of place since he was definitely in the minority with the rest of the male population in the theater. :) What a sweet husband. :)

Of course when the movie started there were tons of screams and giggles. Tyler made it a point to count how many of those there were throughout the movie. :) Well, we both enjoyed it. Of course for me I felt the books were so much better, but I still enjoyed the movie. I, like the rest of the women in the world, thought that the Edward they chose was not even close to what he should have looked like, but as the movie went on he grew on me and by the end I thought he did a very good job. Tyler went in expecting a stupid cheesie chick flick and so he was pleasantly surprised at how much action and suspense was in the movie. He went in with very low expectations and walked out thinking it was a pretty good movie. :) yay!

We went home tired and not excited for morning to come. Ty had to be at school at 7:30am and I had my last day of three weeks teaching 4th grade. We made it through and yes, it was worth it. :) I definitely want to see it again, and preferably when I am more awake. :)

A few of our single friends were going and invited us to come along, and how could we turn down free food and a good time with our friends? ha! We did have fun though and here are some pictures to prove it!! It's always fun getting all dressed up fancy!! :D

What I'm Grateful For

So I was thinking today about my sweetheart and thought I'd post a few thoughts of mine. I am so grateful for my husband. He is so patient and so kind to me. I've had a bit of an emotional week and he has held me close everyday and has assured me that everything is going to be okay. He is such a good listener and lets me tell him what's on my mind even if it's at 3 in the morning. He'll listen and hold me and then say something so adorable that I just can't be sad anymore. He is my angel. A family very dear to us is having a very rough time. It's hard to see a family you love so much going through so much pain. It's helped me see things that I have in my life differently. There are many things I take for granted when really I would be so miserable if they were all taken away from me. I'm so grateful for the gospel in my life. I know I have a purpose here in this life and I know who I am. There are so many people who don't know that. It breaks my heart. I have so much appreciation for the missionaries that go all over the world to share the truth to these people. I hope we are all praying for the missionaries and for the people who are searching for truth and for happiness. I know I need to remember to do this more often. They need our prayers. We all need each other's prayers. :)
Anyways, I am just so grateful for what I have and know, and for my sweet husband. Life can be hard, but it's so worth it when you have the support of a loving companion. We love you all! Thank you so much for your friendship and love. And we hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving month!!!! :) Life is good!

Hacky Sac :)

So pretty much we are bringing hacky sac back. It's pretty fun. We finally got a video of half of us...the boys. But Dot and I can pretty well keep up with them. We'll have to get them to film us. :) Anyways, enjoy. :)

HALLOWEEN FUN!!!!

Hello Everybody!!
We hope you had a fun and spooky Halloween!! We spent ours by Goblin Valley!!!! Perfect place for Halloween I know! :) We left Friday afternoon with Mike and his girlfriend Dot. We didn't get to there until after dark and we were hungry, had no firewood, and couldn't see much. We finally found the perfect camping spot and unloaded the car. Then Dot and I pitched the tent and set up camp while the boys went in search for firewood. When they got back this is what we saw...it was so funny!!!
All they could find were a bunch of small branches and twigs. But they worked!! :) Dot and I put the tinfoil dinners in the on the coals and we were on our way to a yummy dinner! mmmm... When we woke up in the morning we got to see how awesome our campsite really was!
So then we went on a hike through Little Wildhorse Canyon. This was so cool!!! We would hike up the walls, which was a lot easier than hiking back down...ha. We had some good teamwork going to help us all be safe on our adventures. :)

After our 8 mile hike, Tyler and Mike decided to go on a more skillful hike.

That night we ate dutch oven pizzas and were so exhausted that we went to bed at 8:00pm and talked until we fell asleep.
Then the next morning we packed up camp and headed to Goblin Valley. We only spent about 45 minutes there because we got rained out. :( But we still had fun!!! :) Here are a few pictures of our adventures there.

Well, that was our trip. We sure had a blast!!! Oh, and I almost forgot!!! A few days before we carved some pumpkins!! Tyler made his famous SKI pumpkin, and I made a skull out of my skull-shaped pumpkin. Here are some pictures!!!
