What's new?

Well, a whole lot! For Christmas Tyler and I spent some time in New York City doing all the touristy things: 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty boat tour, Empire State Building, Rockefellar Christmas Tree, Central Park, Natural History Museum, The Met, Cathedrals, Chrysler Building, etc. Ty's family joined in on the fun as well and we all had a fabulous vacation!

Ty was supposed to start his student teaching at the beginning of the year, but what did he do instead? Why, became a full time 6th grade teacher! :) That's right! He is now a student teacher in his very own classroom! The other West Valley campus that APA owns had to let go a struggling teacher and Tyler went in and has completely turned the class around. Everyone is so grateful for him coming in and putting out the chaotic fire that was ablaze and laying down high expectations and an appropriate learning environment. He has transformed that class and it has been noticed by all around! I am so proud of him. So he is still completing all the tasks as a student teacher as well as a full time teacher. He is working HARD!!! He pretty much rocks!! :)

We just took a spontaneous mini trip to Vegas this weekend. We saw the Cirque du Soleil performance Mystere, which was phenomenal!!! It was so incredible! We were blown away by the ability the performers had to do all the stunts and acrobatics that they did. It really was so much cooler than either of us had expected. We would highly recommend it to anyone who has never been!! We also ate some yummy food and walked the strip. We only spent one night because really that's all I can really handle of that city.

Well, the countdown for our sweet little baby girl is 2 weeks and 5 days. We are expecting her March 10th. We are very excited and scared! Ha!! I am mostly just anxious to get her out. I've always heard the last month is the most uncomfortable. Well, none of it has been comfortable and I've been sick the whole pregnancy, but I definitely am seeing what they mean. It's very hard to get comfortable with a bowling ball for a belly. But I am trying to take advantage of the last little while to really get everything ready. We'll see how fast or slow these weeks go by... :)

Well, that is all for now. Perhaps my next post will be of the cutest baby ever... :)
